Recommended Music: We Are Kriffed"You can't dismantle the White Maw Pirates, because it's not one gang. The smaller vessels stay within firing range of the larger ones, so customs and Naval vessels can't pick them off. The stronger Captains intimidate the weaker ones to fall in line. Kill or capture a strong one, and one of the weak ones gets an idea that they are strong enough to lead.
You can't follow them planetside, because it's Hoth... one blizzard and you've lost your navigation, communication, and early-warning sensors. They burrow into the starship graveyard like a Jawa inside a droid factory. Chances are they are better equipped - as well as better-armed - and they're also crazy enough to salvage components and weapons from a frozen wasteland infested with wampas and whitefang ice cats. This isn't an assignment, it's an accident, and you're the victim."- Hays Dennin

Once every yearly cycle, the worst of the worst gather together to buy and sell animals, artifacts, armor, coordinates, hyperdrives, secrets, slaves, starships, weapons, and more. The White Maw Pirates, one of the most dangerous and notorious gangs in the Outer Rim board and rob the unlucky and the unwary every season. They also save some of their best plunder, and have inspired others to do the same, for a single night of barter and bluster. Of promises and pleading. Of threats, and tears.
It came to be known as simply, The Auction.
Held on a different planet in a different system each time, under heavy guard, and secrecy, the galaxy's wealthiest and deadliest bounty hunters, mercenary, pirates, and slavers gather under a banner of truce to acquire what they need to satisfy their appetites, their egos, their patrons, or their sins.
Rumors are spreading. The Cartel is after something. Something big, something dangerous, and they're coming to the Auction to get it. Just as important, rumors claim the Auction is being held on Hoth again after many, many years.
The White Maw Pirates are coming home...

This is a Player versus Player Event.
- The theme of this Event is to allow players to attend, infiltrate, or storm the Auction under whatever banner, belief, or Guild they hold as true.
- The intent of the Event is to allow two or more players to plot a battle, confrontation, or duel with each other, using whatever conflict resolution system they all agree to.
- The goal of the Event is to have multiple duels or encounters occurring simultaneously to create an atmosphere of a larger battle scene.
- There is a Deus Ex Machina already planned to cause a premature end to the fighting, to allow players to escape to fight another day.
Location
(Right-click; Open Image in a New Tab to clearly view coordinates)
- This is a Level 46 - 47 Heroic Area.
- The exterior of the site is surrounded by proximity mines which can deplete half your health with a single explosion, and potentially knock you into a second proximity mine.
- The exterior of the site is occupied with Level 46 - 47 Chiss spies who are hostile to the Republic Faction.
- The interior of the site is occupied with Level 46 - 47 Heroic Xeth troopers who are hostile to the Imperial Faction. There are also two Elite Xeth.
- The mobs are spaced out well, and there are several places that player-characters can stand without trigger aggro from the mobs.
- Low-level Imperial characters will need an escort to get inside.
- The cargo containers can be climbed with a bit of patience by utilizing the hinge struts painted on the sides of the containers. They are stacked two and three tall, which can provide refuge from the Xeth mobs.
- The tops of the cargo containers provide an excellent vantage point for the entire site, as does the wall surrounding it.
- The tops of the cargo containers would provide an epic location for lightsaber duels.
- The Xeth troopers are stand-ins for well armored and armed White Maw Pirates providing security for the Auction.
- The Xeth mobs would provide great background noise for high-level Imperial player-characters who trigger aggro. The ensuing blaster fire would represent a large scale battle, especially if multiple mobs were triggered at once.
- Player-character companions are welcome. Dress them in suitable gear as stand-ins for other Auction attendees, or undercover agents and assassins. If they are defeated by the Xeth mobs or another player-character, it simply adds to the immersion of the battle.
Expectations of players who sign up to participate- Communication

- Maturity
- Any Player versus Player encounters will not be moderated. Use your imagination as to style and resolution.
- Players must find another player (or Group) who will "fight" them prior to the start of the Event. Find a dance partner, and know who they are.
- This is a perfect opportunity to use your Raiding gear, or combat-theme role-play gear complete with masks or helmets if your characters requires anonymity before attending.
recoveringgeek's invitation: If you have a player-character or alt that you wish to have killed as part of this Event, either by the chaos of the battle or at the hands of another player-character, please send me a Private Message with the details, and I will coordinate that request with you.
recoveringgeek's recommendation: Considering using the in-game /duel function. My reasoning is this. A higher level/better geared character doesn't have to immediately win. It allows both players to use their in-game abilities to great effect, especially Force-users with Push/Pull to represent Force powers being used. Seeing Force Lightning used from across the site would be spectacular. Buy or bring those old medpacks you can't use anymore and heal up during a fight to prolong the encounter.
If a character is defeated, it can represent getting stunned or knocked on your ass for a few moments, while you recover (heal up) and duel again. My hope is players who sign up will want to create an interactive painting we can remember for some time.
This is also a great chance for antagonist characters to settle their scores on the field of battle. Not every encounter ends in death! Draw inspiration from Star Wars. Kenobi vs. Ventress, several times. Jedi vs. Grievous, several times. Mandalorians vs. everyone, several times. Luke vs. Vader 1.
Reminder: A Deus Ex Machina is planned for the climax of the Event to allow everyone to scatter and retreat.
recoveringgeek request: Player-characters with the Legacy Orbital Strike ability ready to be used when asked.
