RPers interested in Ops?

Greetings,

I am making this thread as just a way to gauge interest in the RP community. I know a lot of RPers probably haven't done much in terms of Endgame PvE content. My guild is primarily a PvE guild running number of Operations. The old 50/55 Operations are quite simple to do and can be a lot of fun, not to mention they have some nifty decorations for those who are stronghold decorators. I have no problem trying to help organize runs for RPers to experience this endgame content. This is on the Imperial side.

IC: it could be explained as an organized job that my Mercenary fleet was hired to help with. OR Can take it one step further and RP it as whatever the Operation truly is. (Killing a Hutt Cartel boss, etc. etc.)


OOC: Again, this is a way for me to try and make a niche inside the RP community. My guild is primarily PvE and I want to start an RP branch inside it so I figured I would try by using our greatest strength of PvE success.

I think there is a lot of interest from us roleplayers in terms of running ops- I've done quite a number of them impside on my Marauder. But as for an IC thing, while I'm sure it's doable, it might get complicated in an ops group. I've done events using flashpoints before, but flashpoints aren't nearly as complicated as some of the more recent ops and their bosses.

I've run a few events that were using an OPs as the framework - doing the Operation ICly. it works out pretty well so long as you make sure the pacing doesn't go too fast (there's a habit to just not stop killing) and everyone is aware of what they're getting into.

As far as OOC runs, BC.org used to have a full-sponsored weekly Ops run in the past, but it died out due to a lack of participation. We'd love to see something get started up again!

I as well as Aylaa were in the midst of considering/planning doing Op runs for the Custodum to help with Framework gathering. I'm able to do both Repside and Impside! And am capable at running them where need be.

I've always wanted to do Ops, especially the SM Dread Masters ones, but not ever been able to find a group!

I have DPS level 60s on both sides. :D

I am absolutely in favor of more OPs runs! Cordae's a moderately-well-geared DPS. Also have a lv59 tank and 55 heals. Not sure how helpful they'll be. >.>

I'll throw my name in the pot. Right now only my Trooper is Ops ready, good for DPS or decent healing. I have a a tank Imp and a DPS Imp on the way soon, though.
