Server Channels to Join

Can we please make a comprehensive list of the channels to join for whichever purpose and separate them by nature?

Just because I have seen quite a bit of confusion as which channels are out there and people looking for the same thing happen to have two different channels.

Imp side I know there's two.

ImperialOOC - The OOC Channel for those glorious Imps. Be warned, adult talk comes on around 9pm EST.

ImperialIC - The IC channel for those beautiful Impy buggers. Have not seen this used yet.

Imazi: there have been multiple reports of people treating one another poorly in the channel as of late.

As of the last server summit my understanding is that:

/cjoin GSF is for the GSF channel both sides

/Cjoin BCO is for operations since there were multiple differently named imperial and pub side channels which made little logical sense so a new one  was made to attempt to unify things

If people aren't actually using these we should like... have that organizational meeting again or something. "Ops" makes sense (I wish that's what had been picked at the meeting)

At the summits we decided on the following channels to be used for all factions.

I think something other than Imazi was supposed to be there as I'm almost never in Imperialooc. :lol:

I'm curious: What is the intended difference between RepublicIC/ImperialIC and the RP channel?

IC is in character and should be the ones listed as being RP. the ooc channels are OOC or Out of Character but they're related to RP.

There is no difference aside from who is in it. A number of people in the BC.org RP community have been in the "rp" channel on both sides as noted here.

But it appears others from the summits prefer the republicic/imperialic channels. I personally have not used either of the latter.

So the actual "RP" channel is not really being used anymore? I had seen that one previously mentioned as being sort of an IC broadcasting channel type of thing. As Yundara indicated in their post, there seem to be five channels for RP, and three of them for IC RP. I just wanted to be sure I was on the right ones (i.e., the active ones), although I suppose the safest bet would be just to join all of them. :)

The 'rp' channels have been used on and off.

Like I said, it's just different people using different ones. The people in the existing RP community on BC.org, as far as I know, use 'rp' and not the 'ic' ones. But others can correct me.

We actually got the in character ones from the rp server summit ran by SivWysan if i remember right.
