Are "spoiler" codes/tags able to be used, here?
« on: 10/09/15, 11:11:49 PM »
Yours truly is not yet super-familiar with the site's coding.

On other sites, including swtor.com, you can use "spoiler" tags to hide content until the viewer clicks the tag to reveal it.

Kinda dumb-sounding on-paper, but it's especially of value when you are making a thread with a LOT of pictures in it; This way, a viewer can choose to selectively reveal only the pictures they are ready to see; any pictures further down the thread will not have hogged any time to load, before the viewer is ready to see them.

It's not in the editor toolbar - is there perhaps a coding trick that I can /use and /end?

Thank you for bringing this topic up, @Ahlvis.

The BBC code on these forums now support spoilers such as this:

Spoiler: Look! A description! • show
Spoiler with description

and

Spoiler: show
Generic spoiler

The BBC code for the above are as follows:

Quote
{content goes here}

{content goes here}
Enjoy!

Oh, awesome! Thanks, you guys!

Will have to re-format my thread, when yours truly gets a minute.

Ah - I will message Artisan to let him know: there is a bug, in using the Spoliers:

If you include an ' in the spoiler title, then the Show option will not function, vs not having a ' in the spoiler title. I tested this, in order to ensure that the bug will repeat itself; it does.

I simply un-'ed my spoilers tags in my growing recap thread, and the spoilers all now work just fine.
