Combat Styles

If you have not seen today's SWTOR livestream, they have announced COMBAT STYLES that will allow the switching of advanced classes no longer tied to the base class. This is separated by tech and force but opens up a lot of role playing options.

Trooper Sniper?
Jedi Knight shooting lightening?
Assault Cannon using smuggler?
Rifle using Bounty Hunter?

These will all be possible in the new expansion.

I remember something along these lines being asked for since the game released. I'm glad they're adding it in, even if it is 10 years later than we really wanted it.

I'm interested to see how deep it goes. I don't think we'll be able to play a polearm wielding Mandalorian like in the loading screen art splash, but boy, wouldn't I enjoy being wrong about that.

If people push hard enough during PTS rounds, I'm willing to bet that expansions to the system will be put into the hopper. People asking is how it got this far along.

Also super psyched about a Republic Sniper... Caben can finally be in the same guild as his fiance, hehe.

Also intrigued by more options for Sith Defectors or "Risen" Sith.
